When an escape hatch is required
from this grim
all too real reality
I put on rose colored specs
for the simpler times view

and don my old school threads
tinged purple and white

My stuffy romantic gal pal
who is poetically and shamelessly
phonetically inclined
said I looked mighty fine
in magenta and alabaster

Her descriptive adjectives
do flow pretty

and definitely sound

more elegantly refined
though that elevated scene

doesn't quite fit

a primary color guy like me
