some say I am
in desperate need
of validation
can't get a sniff of relevance
in this world
which values flash over substance

Went to a Glam Session
to purchase a bushel
of artificial coolness
but twas a non starter
for this frustrated creature
who came to the realization
that I am nothing more
than a perpetual bore

Now I embrace

my monotonous core

from an honest to goodness
