in the penalty box
for my latest transgression
allows me time
for relationship reflection
Trying to please you
by adhering to your numerous rules
is as ludicrously impossible
as taking a small sip
from a mountain waterfall
Drowned by the sheer volume
of conflicting expectations
gives me pause to reflect
if your high maintenance attachment
is worth the torrential aggravation
