Life is unfair...

There I said it...

The concept of equality
is a noble stretch goal
but in reality
ain't achievable probably

in this lifetime anyway

and is most definitely

beyond our  control

Past mass inequities

blot our sorry history

Current disgraceful obscenities

will not be rectified today

For sure

such big picture solutions

are way above my pay grade

So instead I focus

my meager energy
on the unjust mini stains
splattered on life's periphery
with my very own

woefully inadequate poetry
