Marriage Apocalypse

 

Off we trudge to therapy
in one last ditch effort
to fill in our rift
with well meant
couple's analysis

Alas..

This gaping chasm
the depth of the Grand Canyon
took decades to excavate
and will not be filled
with three court mandated
45 minute sessions a week
to salvage our sunk relationship

We should sell tickets

to our bloodletting sessions

as a forewarning public service lesson

to those considering marriage
