Dust Bin Eulogy

 

Our bodies
are but biodegradable shells

bobbing in a churning sea

that stretches past forever

But of course it doesn't

There's always an end point

Dust to dust someday
though our actions
here on Earth
will linger
far beyond the grave

You and I
have more impact
on the stream

that feeds Eternity
than it seems
even though
after we are through
we footnotes
won't be in any position
to hear our reviews
