to move the proverbial needle
of mass public opinion

Dishing disinformation
with inhuman frequency
these well funded influencers
now spew coordinated 
negative messaging
indistinguishable 
from the unbearable bots

They canonize the broken prophets
of the social media apocalypse
on a massive scale
in thought silo cathedrals
while skewering 
today's designated enemy
with incessant negative fury

Their words a drumbeat rallying cry
to disillusioned rebels
desperately grasping for alibis
as the disjointed mob now declares war
on a disinterested real world
that long ago moved on
to more interesting distractions

These oblivious so called Normals
will soon be targeted and corrupted
like frogs in slowly boiling water
by the creeping forces they mock today
