we launched with majority acclaim

quickly sunk under the weight

of its 24 carat expectations

Now the dead beast resides permanently

in the depths of the undersea

along with all the other wrecks

which tragically lacked the buoyancy

required to exist minimally

Today it's a tourist attraction

A barnacled curiosity

A monument to the stupidity

of arrogant excess

over common sense

What a shame
our past mistake exhibits
are rarely a learning experience
