Please cease and desist
with your incessant persistence
of dredging up past indiscretions
from the cesspool of Yesterday
we used to swim in
when we were young and dumb

Share with the curious congregation
the path you currently run
and more importantly
where you plan to be
once your sin fishing expedition
is mercifully done
and we can ditch
this pointless inquisition

For in our world of stained imperfections
depreciation allowances
need to be granted
for the wear and tear
dents and scratches
we accumulate over the years
