Scavenger Hunt

 

Gotta love those ugly vultures
circling so elegantly
above my soon to be
defunct carcass

Tis a death scene so serene
here in the arid desert
that's all horizon
and no substance

Or is this personal tragedy
simply my carnivore just desserts
dipped in the bittersweet sauce of irony
served before the main course?

I really admire
these patient scavenger creatures
of natural recycling efficiencies 
even though their imminent destiny
involves feasting on deceased me
