Our little uncivil war
Blasting nonsensical
Feeding on itself
It's gotten way too personal
We clash over everything
This poisonous perception gap
has become constant conflict fodder
Can we at least agree
on the should be obvious reality
what's true to you
may not necessarily
be true for me
So we need to meet civilly
and make our peace
Find that elusive common ground
that is not as distant as we think
Proceed as adults
and compromise mix
our current frictions
into a blended
digestible smoothie
we can all share
