Life is unfair
Swish that around
in your leaky chalice
of high expectations
and spit out
the toxic bitterness
all over
your soon to be
extinguished dreams
Cleanse that palate
of the bullshit
things as they should be equity
and use this new disillusionment
for practical forward motion
Life is unfair indeed
but once we accept
this cynical doctrine
we can proceed
to try and make the best
of our tilted situation
