Pay no attention
and give no passing mention
to the specter of apocalypse
looming over
our purposely oblivious heads

The current turbulence

is just a passing anomaly

Not gonna let

a little needless madness

spoil what has been

an epic long running party

Denial is our birthright
and the pursuit

of useful deflections
has served us well so far

throughout our glorious history

In fact by executive decree

all the danger signs
that the gloom and doom

pessimists obsess on
will soon be gone
along with them

and their downer philosophies
