Angel of Truth

She graces my jaded presence
with an aura very intense

Hovering as a tease
over the club scene
of which I was a bit player
of minimal relevance

At least that's what she said:

Shrink wrapped

and dropped kicked

ordinary me

into the friend zone abyss

Blunt truth is always

a difficult concept

to reckon with
but quite necessary
in order to proceed

in a disjointed fashion
to my next
heart wrenching rejection
