Rock Head
The prospector clad in desperation
Spends his life seeking
discovery
Fortune is his coy mistress
As he sifts through misery
Digging deep beneath the
surface
That dirty truth of
obstruction
His sorry existence consumed
by greed
Obsession sows the seeds of
self destruction
When he finally finds the
glow
And the glimmer blinds his
eyes
All he holds in his hands is
fools gold
Payment for a lifetime of
lies
