We tried to take the hill this
morning
But were repelled by
afternoon
Reassembled down in the
meadow
And reassessed our situation
The objective was redefined
Battle plans finally redrawn
Decided to bypass the
fortress
That stood stubbornly in our
way
Victory was declared and the troops cheered
As we set out on our future
course
Hopefully someday we will find
War is Hell, but conflict is
all we know
