Hit and Myth

 

Through the dark forest
of enchantment history  
the hunter of mythology 
stalks his prey 
with the empirical precision
of a modern high tech predator

Oblivious target in sight 

Piercing red laser beam

Rifle blast shatters the serene

Unicorn drops in a heap

It's quivering carcass
gushing rainbow blood

An efficient termination
of what very well could be
a species extinction

Dragons weep
over their slain friend
and vow revenge
on all those
murderous cynics
who seek to snuff out
their very existence
