Seeking a balanced perspective

she kept re-calibrating
her open minded opinions

on the issues of the day

Moderates like her
used to be the norm
before civil discourse
descended into pointless

tit for tat
gotcha combat politics
making common sense

somber reflection
considered traitorous
by foam at the mouth zealots
who today regrettably dominate

with their loud mouth

squeaky wheel ways 

To get back to being

a functional society

we desperately need

adults like she

back in the room
