The storm long forewarned
in forecasts oft ignored
rolled in with a vengeance..

It's severity was without precedent
and the damage inflicted
was one continuous 
horrific accident..

Of course those who thought
they could benefit
by exploiting our predicament
took full advantage..

Proving yet again

that greed fueled avarice

is a vice beneath contempt
