Blinkers On

 

Sometimes it's over
before it begins...

Of course
as a defense mechanism
we live oblivious  
to our selective
disconnections
and unintended
though should have been obvious
reckless consequence

if only we had done

a little due diligence

and thought this shit through

There is no shame in ignorance..

Actually there is

in a BIG PICTURE sense

but since we're all seeking happiness

we gotta give ourselves a pass

when the reality disconnect

benefits our current circumstance
