Dreaded web troll

Lurking in the shadows 
of cyber communications 

Like a mangy feral cat
waiting to pounce
with malcontent motives
on innocent posts

Those well intentioned souls 
looking to connect
with life on
planet Earth

They take the time
to commit
and make
their own statement
published on the
public domain

But the troll objects

The claws come out
and the beast proceeds
to wreck the thread

Making a muddled mess
of the group conversation

The troll wins the battle
but loses the war

because those 
who tear down
and destroy

eventually
invariably
implode

For the venom
they spray

gets diluted
over time

Destined
to be consumed
by their bitterness

Pathetic after thoughts

All alone
