Pep Talker
Clock expires
on yet another
game
scoreboard lights
stoically
impassively
posts
the numeric story
it's results
never lie
home team
comes up
short again
We are defeated
but not beaten
let us resolve
to rise from the
ashes of
this disaster
come back
tomorrow
fight again
fight harder
play smarter
take another shot
at the victory
that
escaped our grasp
today
and be
as gracious
in victory
as we are
in defeat

This had me thinking about the upcoming Olympics (I'm an Olympic addict) and how hard it is to be graceful in defeat but those athletes so often are and they make me proud no matter the country they come from.
