The angel
I have religiously avoided
on misguided principle

during the course

of my whole agnostic existence
gave perpetually skeptical me
a gorgeous set of wings..

Included was a checkout invitation
to rise above my somber life situation
and fly with her heavenly flock..

I took her up on the pious offer
and am a non believer no more
