This hate monster we feed
leaving a bloody carnage trail
throughout our conflict history
in our cowboy culture
where the gunslinger is glorified

with every weapons upgrade
Murder simplified
to be made more convenient
and coldly impersonal
Dispensed from a distance
The trigger of inhumanity
as death
gets compartmentalized
to a finger squeeze event
