is reduced to a disposable commodity

i think what used to be time spent reading other people's essays and longer philosophical sociopolitical narratives has now shifted dangerously toward mobile phones and social medias. your post captures the danger in the trend. ReplyDeleteNot to sound like a cranky curmudgeon, but I believe somewhere along the way our schools stopped teaching students how to think... Way too much emphasis on useless memorization of regurgitated facts and almost zero attention to creative thinking. It's scary how robotically reactive our society has become
