and then hesitated
cause I am not an assassin

I am a damaged man
who developed a conscience
in a dirty business
where that kind of guilt trip
can get your ass terminated
with extreme prejudice

and enlist respect

The impassioned 

free speech defense
of racism and prejudice
has always been
the great litmus test
for us staunch defenders

Having to always ride

forever makes me question
whether we are on the right side

between good and evil

Dazed and confused
our hero once self assured
