Here 
in Monogamy Land
we are only
allowed
one at a time

Traditional
unconditional
dictator
of conventional
morality

If you dare
break 
monogamy rules
dramatic tragedy
ensues

Tears will be shed

Word bombs lobbed

Pain and regret
wrapped in guilt

but  I ask you

Why should
our hearts 
be restricted?

Can we not
love more
than one
at a time?

With differing
intensities? 

Monogamy
is an absolute tyranny 
and a
lame tradition
